Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s and Team Lynda Hess? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
In June 2019, two weeks after he graduated from high school, our son Christophe, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Even though he had graduated from high school, Christophe is still considered a pediatric cancer patient. Christophe has waged a hard-fought battle over the last two years. Due to scientific advancements brought about through private donations, as well as his fantastic positive attitude and faith, Christophe went into remission in July 2021! As his parents, we will not be able to rest comfortably until all pediatric cancers are fully cured.
Since very little of federal funds for cancer research go to pediatric cancers, fundraisers like this as well as your donations, save kids lives.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
