I was fortunate enough to start my pediatric nursing career on the oncology unit at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 2012, while it definitely had its challenges, it wasn’t without reward.
Having worked in different areas of the hospital, I have seen the impact a cancer diagnosis has not only on the children but the family as a unit.
I’m approaching my 10 year anniversary as a pediatric nurse and wanted to do something to give back. So, I am again making the commitment to raise funds and SHAVE MY HEAD for the ST. BALDRICKS foundation!!
This year, my goal reflects the year that started it all for me, $2012! I hope you join me in the efforts to raise a ton of money!
Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that!
