I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

There is no doubt that cancer has touched each and every one of our lives, whether through a family member's diagnosis or through those that you hold close in your heart developing this disease. Unfortunately, no cure has yet been discovered for this loathsome diagnosis. I am hoping to change that through raising donations and in turn donating my hair to those who truly need it. Specifically, to children who are showing such valor and bravery in battling this illness.

Children with cancer need support now more than ever, as the number of children diagnosed grows by the minute. St. Baldrick’s, the wonderful organization I am participating in, is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants. Through no surprise, the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Hopefully, the donations raised can finally bring an end to the disease that has plagued millions.

In order to further my impact, I will be donating my hair to the BeYOUtiful Foundation. Their mission has been instrumental in raising the spirits and self-confidence of many women and young girls. The hair I donate to this organization will be used in wigs for women effected by cancer and chemo treatments.

Cancer kills more children than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down! Will you join me in my crusade against this fiendish sickness? Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
