I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Jen's Ducks
In August of 2004 my 14 year-old daughter Jennifer was diagnosed with a very rare form of childhood cancer. In March 2005 I shaved my head for St Baldrick's for the first time....I've done so every year since.
Jen fought a 6 year battle with her cancer but unfortunately the science did not yet exist to provide a cure and she became an Angel in May 2010. During her battle she inspired everyone she met. Together we became members of the Northport NY St Baldrick's committee, one of the largest events on the St Baldrick's calendar. I am honored to continue this role. in Jen's Memory and look forward to the day when the research funded by St Baldrick's finds cures for these mysterious childhood cancers.
In 2018 I helped to field the first ever St Baldricks cycling team to participate in NY's 5 Boro Bike tour. It was a great success. We repeated in 2019 riding in a pouring rain.
Losing a child is something no one should have to experience. Being dignosed with cancer is something no child should have to endure. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve been dedicated to fundraising for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids like my Jen.
I could use all the support possible! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Please consider sponsoring my upcoming bike event or my annual head shaving by clicking the Donate button above.
Thank You!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least twenty years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
