I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Dominic

A few years ago, one of my high school friends shared a story, here on Facebook. It was about a handsome young man named Dominic. His mother had started a “Pray for Dominic” page. I followed that page, the family’s story, and eventually, Dom’s passing. I watched in tears as his mother painstakingly chronicled Dom’s last few months, then weeks, days and hours. I prayed, as requested for Dom, but also too for the loved ones left here on earth, to find their way without him. When I moved to PA, I was in a totally new state, county and town. I knew no one...and one day, I got a letter in my mailbox...flying red balloons to remember Dominic. His family was now my neighbor. My world was rocked again, as we, as a neighborhood, remembered and celebrated Dominic’s life. This year, I have been invited to shave my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! I am honored to be asked to take off these locks that have grown long and twirly during this Covid quarantine. Please support in every way you can...if nothing else, to beg me to cut off this hair as a dare! The higher the funds, the SHORTER I will go! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.
