You know the long, frizzy curls I am known for? Welp, they're going to be gone soon.
After a truly terrible year, I am looking for ways to spread kindness and make make my community a little bit better. There's no better way to do that than to hack off the weight of the year with a big cut that raises money for children with cancer. And this is a double whammy donation. I'll be raising funds for St Baldrick's. Then, I'll donate my hair to a organization that makes wigs for children with cancer.
I haven't decided which shave guard I'm using. But I'm leaning toward a 5 instead of a regulation 2. That technically makes this a cut, not a shave, and I want to be transparent about that.
My first donation is in memory of Colin Hayward Toland, known to many as Officer Colin. He wanted to be a police officer when he grew up, and thanks to the kindness of the Ithaca community, he got to live out his dream. He rejoined the cosmos three years go at the age of 10.
I'm sure I'll be writing about this more in the coming days. So look out for that. For now, though, join me in helping fight for kids living with cancer.
