I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Dominic

As a baby Dominic loved playing with my hair while I nursed or held him. During his entire life, if I was physically close enough to him, his fingers would automatically find my hair. Playing with my hair became his comfort. So much so that we buried Dominic with a lock of my hair in his fingers... I made a promise to him that I would never shave my whole head, I still shave the one side in solidarity with Dominic from when he lost his hair there. Because of that promise, instead of shaving, I'm donating at least 8 inches of my hair with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. My son Dominic was that 1. We don't want any other family to live this nightmare that is our reality. Please help us! I've spent the last 2 years growing out my hair and while, yes it is beautiful, i long to give it to a child that needs it! Help me honor my son. He deserved to live longer than 8 1/2 years. HE SHOULD BE HERE! Our hearts will be forever broken until we are reunited in Heaven. Please help us help others.

I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Every penny that is donated will go directly to funding research grants for Pediatric High Grade Gliomas for which there is NO CURE.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.
