I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

It's nearly spring and it's that time again.  The snow is melting, we are all getting ready for trips to warmer places and baseball is just around the corner.  This last year has been difficult on all of us.  Some more than others.

Over the last 6 years and nearly $7000 raised, I have been growing out my hair only to have it shaved off to raise money and help conquer kids fighting cancer.  The money raised is for lifesaving research to help find cures and for better treatments for kids.

A former teacher at my daughter's elementary school, has a daughter that this year has won her battle with cancer.  She had a tough road but things are going great for her now.  A month ago, a young man that we have never met but is close to very good friends of ours, was diagnosed with cancer.  He has started the battle that I am sure he will win.

I do stuff like this for those 2 I have noted above.  I do it because I am thankful that my girls, my nieces and nephews are healthy.  I do it because I can and I know that my hair will grow back.

Due to Covid, this year's event will be done virtually.  My head shave date will be 1 week from today and I may go live when I am shedding my head's winter coat.

I need your support! So please, donate what you can.  It can be a $1 or even a $100.  Every amount counts.

Thank you
