Hey folks! So what a year it’s been! Last year we were so blessed to have been able to have our annual St. Baldrick’s event literally just days before the Covid pandemic locked down the world. Many other annual events were not able to have theirs and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation certainly felt it. But thank God, the foundation was still able to fund valuable pediatric cancer research - despite having taken in far less in donations.
This year marks my 19th year shaving my head in honor of, and in memory of, my brother Peter who lost his battle to cancer way back in 1987. I, and my family participate every year with the hope and dream that no more families will have to feel the horrible sorrow of having lost a child to cancer. My brother’s fight with brain stem and spinal cord tumors was a short one. But none-the-less traumatic for him and all in our family. There are families today that have been fighting for years.
I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money to help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.
I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.
Now, in memory of my brother Peter and the thousands of other children who’ve lost their fights, I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.
Thank you! - Johnny
