I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In the past few years I have lost two very close friends to cancer. As I started to research the various cancer research foundations, I came in contact with St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Their mission is to fund childhood cancer research. I was in the hospital room when one of my friends passed away and I was touched by how difficult it was for his parents to be at his bedside on his final days. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a parent to have a young child battle cancer.

St. Baldrick’s is the largest private funding source for childhood cancer research, behind only the Federal Government. Last year they provided grants of over $19 million to research hospitals, specifically to help fight childhood cancer. Much of their fundraising is done during head shaving events.

I will be shaving my head on St. Patrick's Day to help raise money for this much needed research.   Please help by clicking the DONATE button above.
