I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.
In July 2017, my then 13 year old Nephew was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Since then he has endured over 32 months of chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, immunotherapy, and has spent over 175 nights in the hospital. Now 16, he is starting his 3rd clinical drug trial to find a cure. Research is critical to finding cures and better treatments for all childhood cancers.
I'm joining friends and family and shaving my head to help fund pediatric cancer research. I know, an already bald"ing" person shaving their head, way to live on the edge, but I assure you there are still a handful of stragglers left up top that I will be letting grow out between now and then. In light of my smaller follicle contribution my fundraising campaign will take on the slogan of "Every Little Bit Counts". No donation, no act of kindness no effort to further advancements in treatments, patient care or a potential cure is too small "Every Little Bit Counts.
I hope you'll consider supporting this great cause in any way you can.
