I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team FTK

Hello everyone! This year, for St. Baldricks, I will be donating 9 inches of my hair to raise awareness towards childhood cancer. Each day more and more children are diagnosed with cancer and each day more and more families lose a precious loved one.

Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease in children and, unlike adult cancer, the causes for childhood cancer are not clearly linked to lifestyle choices or environmental factors. The factors aren't well understood and remain unknown. And with more children being diagnosed with cancer, the demand for a cure becomes apparent.

For every 500 dollars raised, one week of cancer research is paid for. Our school alone paid for 2 years of cancer research. You dont have to be someone who knows a cancer patient or be someone who has survived cancer to donate. You just have to be someone who wants to be apart of somthing bigger than themselves and wants to make a difference.
