Goals
Piper, my daughter, was diagnosed in 2004 at 15 months of age. I participated in my first Baldrick's Event as a speaker and parent representative in March of 2005 while she was in the hospital receiving her last ever chemo treatment and started fundraising...along with getting my first "haircut" the following year in 2006.
2020 will be my 15th year going bald (on purpose) for Childhood Cancer.
And my last.
Our family has been so fortunate over the last 16 years. With great doctors, great results, and great recovery even when the "this could possibly happen in the future..." happened. We couldn't be more thankful to our medical teams, the friends and family who have supported us, and to everyone who donated... one year, or every year. Last year I sent a broad Thank You to all of you for being the ones who really get it done.. and with this year's milestone within reach, I'm confident this will be the one.
Last year your overall donations were hovering around 92K.. after the event totals came in, I'm currently 1,459.00$ short of the 100K lifetime goal I've set for myself.
We are thankful that Piper's story has been a lasting example within the local Baldrick's community to inspire people to get involved, and to inspire friends, neighbors, co-workers and family to adopt this great cause as their own as well. We hope our efforts, and your efforts, have been part of bringing more awareness to the need for funding and the needs of the families of Childhood Cancer Fighters, Survivors and Angels...and, most importantly... the needs of the Kids.
