I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I have decided to shave my head to raise awareness & much needed funds for research in childhood cancers.

Our families journey with childhood cancer began when my nephew Connor was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. During his young life, Connors treatments included repeated long hospital stays, chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. During this time, I had the opportunity to visit several pediatric oncology units. I assure you; the children, families, & professionals serving them are truly inspiring. You would not soon forget them. I can not.

Our Connor lost his battle with childhood cancer but still remains in our hearts and an important part of our family. He will remain in my heart as members of the Orange County Fire Department shave my head on March 7th. Will you join me in remembering Connor and all of the children still in the fight? Please be as generous as you can and together we will give these children a fighting chance.
