This year I am shaving my head alongside my 14 year old son, Tyson, and my 7 year old daughter, Lyla, to help raise money to fight childhood cancers. Our lives were personally touched by cancer when my wife, Megan, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at age 38. Since then, we’ve met some of the bravest people I’ve ever known, many of them childhood cancer survivors themselves.
It’s Tysons 5th year shaving his head for St. Baldricks and it’s Lyla’s 1st year!! As a 2nd Grade girl, I think it’s extremely and especially brave and selfless of her! She also is old enough to remember her mom being bald throughout her chemotherapy treatment, and understands the slow process of hair growing back. I’m just so proud of my kids (I also have a 4 year old daughter, Camille, who is as equally determined and feisty as her older siblings!) and am joining them in solidarity.
I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.
Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
