I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I’m doing St. Baldrick’s again and shaving my head on March 7th, & wedding or not (I’ll have multiple haircuts by September) after this past year, I definitely feel the need to support this cause.

Sean Hannes was always one of the reasons why I did St. Baldrick’s. Though I didn’t know him until high school, we so instantly clicked as complete goofballs in our multiple classes together freshman year. The fact that he went through so much earlier in his life and then again in high school, didn’t ever seem to slow him down. I was so upset to not only hear of his passing from cancer this past June when I was away and couldn’t be home for services, but also as I’ve gotten to know his one-of-a-kind sister Renee over the years, that I wasn’t around to support her. I know it in no way gets back what we’ve lost, but to know maybe a difference can be made for someone else makes it worth it time and time again.

I’ve had lots of support over the years raising thousands of dollars, and on year 5 as always, every dollar counts! Thanks all for your donations!
