I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: LES  and Lester's  LIFE SAVERS

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: LES  and Lester's  LIFE SAVERS

Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. That makes me really sad. So I've decided to go bald for this cause and join The St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise awareness and funds to change this tragic reality.

St. Baldrick's is the largest private funder of *childhood* cancer research grants. The distinction is important. Because more adults than kids get cancer, adult cancers get the majority of federal, private and corporate money. No doubt that is great for adult cancer cure rates and survival rates. But the survival rates for childhood cancers have remain unchanged over twenty years, while the incidence of them has risen. Pharmaceutical companies have done little to nothing for them because they are not profitable. So St. Baldrick's goal is to fill a gap. The foundation will only fund childhood cancer research grants, and then spend money on helping cancer survivors thrive beyond treatment.

I hope you will join me in this worthy cause. Whether you can spare $5 or $50, your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
