As corporate citizens, we have organizational values that support our professional lives. As parents, partners, friends and family, we have values that support our personal lives. These include courage, strength, grace and humor; • Courage to face life’s challenges. • Strength to endure in the struggle with those challenges. • Grace to consider those around us. • Humor to laugh & see light in each day’s joy. My friend and colleague’s grandson was an extraordinary young man. This young man and his family, with the love and support of community and friends, fought a grueling two and a half year battle with medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is the most common malignant brain tumor in children. He fought with unimaginable courage & strength. Under tremendous physical and emotional burdens, he managed the extraordinary grace to consider those around him. Through it all, his sense of humor shone brightly. I pray no more children and families have to summon the courage and strength for such battles. I hope all of us manage share grace with those near to us. Last, but not least, I hope we all laugh a little each day. I'm shaving my head again - please help with your donation. We should admire a young man’s courage and strength and try to emulate his grace. On March 13th, let’s celebrate his humor; I’ll dye my hair green the week before the event (which happens to be his favorite color). I’ll work on a bit of a mullet to boot. Thank you for our support!!
