I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: BMC Cary

Exciting news....  we're moving the virtual shave to May 22 so that our colleagues in Latin America and Europe can join in the fun.  I'll update with a link soon.  Super excited to get this over with!  :D

The world has changed. But my determination to help fight childhood cancers has not.  Check out my Facebook post.  https://www.facebook.com/txaggie94/posts/10117570102011604

Wow!  I am so humbled!  I've surpassed my goal, but I'm not done yet.  There are too many kids who need our help.  Please keep donating, and I will live stream the shaving on April 15th on my Facebook page!  :)

As a family, the Cartys have had a lot of crap happen in the last 20 years. We lost Baby Luke due to a heart defect, and we have 4 others who have fought like hell. One with Beckwith-Wiedemann and an omphalacele (I'll wait while you look that up), one with Tetralogy of Fallot (again - look it up), and two who fought and beat Hodgkins Lymphoma. My nieces and nephews are the strongest kids I know. And because of them, I'm doing something people might find crazy... I am shaving my head to support St. Baldrick's, which is an organization dedicated to research for pediatric cancers. I'm hoping to raise $5,000 to support this wonderful cause, and will be cutting off most of (all of?) my hair on April 15. I would love your support.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
