I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hanks Hombres

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hanks Hombres

I am Chris, and childhood cancer is hot point issue for me. I have a soft spot in my heart for these kiddos fighting the hardest fight they could ever face in their lives. As a Cancer survivor myself, in remission, I find myself in a position that I am healthy enough to join these kiddos in their fight and the least I can do is shave my head for them. These kids have to be stronger than any other person they encounter in their lives. If we hit the  goal of $500 dollar I will shave my beard, as well, and I haven't done that in over 4 years.

Every day 43 children are diagnosed with some form of cancer in the United States. Childhood Cancer is the leading cause of death in children, claiming approximately 1800 little ones a year. Childhood Cancer research is extremely underfunded.

The good news is that for every $50 raised that can help fund an hour of research to find cures for these little people. In the US, 84% of these children are expected to be alive 5 years later. And as of now there are over 429000 survivors of childhood cancers in the US and that number is expected to exceed half a million in 2020.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
