I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Chm

On March 6, I will be shaving my head to raise funds for the St. Baldricks Foundation.  Childhood cancer research is so underfunded!  Less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research.  With 300,000 children diagnosed worldwide with cancer each year, that simply is not enough!

I will be shaving in support of all the pediatric cancer patients I have cared for in my 40 years of being a pediatric oncology nurse.  As I am having my head shaved, I will be thinking about each one of the children I cared for that were not fortunate to beat this terrible disease.  And I'll be thinking about each one of the kids fighting their battle now and hope and pray that the research that is being done will allow them to have a cancer free life!

Please support me as I go outside my comfort zone to show support for my patients.
Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
