This Marks the 7th year that Luke and I have shaved our heads to raise money to fight childhood cancer. This year is special to us as we are dedicating our fundraising efforts to Honor my cousin's daughter, Destiny Rickeberg. Destiny has claimed victory over cancer for 45 straight days now. She is in the middle of the fight that will define her life. She turned 9 years old in the hospital and is a remarkable young lady.
When Luke and I started this journey, we did not have any direct relationship to anyone going through childhood cancer. We started shaving our heads because one of his friends. L. Wilson did it. When Luke asked about it we talked about why he was shaving his head and Luke immediately said that he would do it too and asked me to shave my head as well. I agreed and the rest is history.
This year, we will be awarded our Kinghthood. That's right, we become Knights of the Bald Table. Please support us and donate. We do this in Honor of Destiny. Please donate, even $5 makes a huge difference.
As a parent, I have no idea how any parent deals with their child having cancer. It breaks my heart for them and I know I would never have the courage that Destiny's parents and all parents of children goin through cancer treatments have.
I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.
Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
