I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: With Great Beard Comes Great Responsibility

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: With Great Beard Comes Great Responsibility

Every year, we attend a St Baldrick’s event and I am asked to go on stage and offer to shave the beard for whatever money we can raise to conquer childhood cancer, real time. I believed we could do much better asking family and friends to support the effort also. I didn’t want to shave a 5 year beard without making a sizable impact on this cause. So we decided to set a goal (my birth year) that we thought would both make an impact and also motivate ourselves, friends and family to raise money for this great cause.

Just in case we aren’t motivated to raise money or can’t garner enough support, Danielle has offered to shave her head this year and we can save the beard to try again at a later date.

I'm shaving my head/beard to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
