I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Well, as my hair starts to grow longer, just like the days, it means another year has come and gone and once again it is time to step up and do the annual tradition. 12 years and counting, my how time flies... I remember my first event, going in green and solo on the suggestion of a neighbor, and I was hooked. My 6 year old daughter was the first to shave my head, and now this year I'm getting ready to ship her off to college.

Over these years it has become abundantly clear how much progress they have made in the area of childhood cancer. I am proud of my decision to stay with an organization that pushes the advancement in the research of eradicating this nightmare. So, here's the deal.....

On Friday March 13th (calm down it's not THAT scary of a day), 2020, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! This will be taking place once again @ Fado's Irish Pub in the city, so if you're around, come have a pint with me!

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it again, by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Many of you have heard this all before, and that's great.... someday maybe you'll be able to sarcastically mimic me as this announcement goes around, and I welcome it... just as long as you add a couple of bucks to it as well...

Thank you all!
