I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This is year 7. SEVEN. I hate being bald. Seriously, seriously hate it. I don't like how I look, I am freaking COLD for 3 weeks after the event, and my cats like to lick my bald head. Let me tell you...the feeling of a cat's tongue on your scalp is seriously disturbing. It's less disturbing than losing my head because of chemo and radiation. It bothers me less than the idea that people go through this every day. My own mother went through chemo and radiation to treat lymphoma. My dad had kidney cancer. But they weren't kids, and they would have taken it every time if it meant even one child not suffering. This is what I can do. I can tolerate the discomfort of it for a few weeks, if even one dime of what I raise helps a kid who is in the fight for his life. Year 7, my friends. Let's make this the last year this is necessary.
