I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In 2019

I will be running the Clonmel half marathon (a small town in Tipperary - it’s a long way and all that)……..

I will be having my head shaved at the annual Hannah’s Hero’s shave event……..

I will be running the Dublin marathon (a slightly larger town in Ireland!)……..

…….to take cancer back from childhood by raising funds for childhood cancer research.

This will be year 6 for me having my head shaved and after successful completing 3 half marathons last year as part of fundraising efforts, for a reason initially best known to a few too many pints and a 2019 fundraising suggestion from my bfam Cathal one evening in November I signed up to #runthistown and partake in the 2019 Dublin marathon. With a sober head the next morning I considered the preparation effort I would need to make to be ready and then thought of the impact to kids and their families who get the dreaded news that they have been diagnosed cancer and the battle they have to contend with - no contest I was all in - it spurred me on then and continues to spur me on and I have been solidly training ever since.

You have been such a big part of this journey, together we have helped Hannah’s Hero's to raise over $2m for St. Baldirck's foundation since it started in 2013, ever year I feel more and more humbled by your generosity and spirit of giving, I can’t thank you enough but I can ask for you to keep supporting me!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thank You

Eugene
