My brother Brian and I started shaving our heads for childhood cancer last year after our nephew Aiden was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Aiden was just two and a half years of age when diagnosed. His toughness is immeasurable. With his sidekick, twin brother Mason by his side, he is kicking the crap out of this horrid disease. Aiden will turn five in June and is currently in what they call the "maintenance" phase. It means he still gets his chemo treatments, but mostly in pill form and only needs to go to the hospital on a monthly bases when they give him the heavy stuff through the port in his chest. They all look forward to only another 15 more months of maintenance and then praying for remission. That would mean only five more spinal taps and just 15 more times to the hospital for the heavy Chemo. We are blessed, Aiden appears to be conquering Cancer. Although we do not know what the future is yet to hold we are optimistic. Unfortunately, there are so many children, not as fortunate as Aiden, that need your help. For those that have donated, my family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. Remember, no donation is too small and every dollar counts. Please help make a difference in stamping out childhood Cancer.
