I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Norah

Hey All -- I'm shaving my head once again, for the 15th time (and two Moustaches too!!) to continue to raise money for childhood cancer research!  Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers?  It's true.  And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.  So I've decided to do something about it by starting Team Norah and raising money for cures.

This year I'm shaving for a particular little girl, a granddaughter of a very good friend and co-worker of mine with Northbrook Firefighters Local 1894.

Three year old Norah, known to her friends and family as “Boss Baby” & Super Norah, was diagnosed with ALL: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, December 11, 2018. It is the more common childhood leukemia, but requires a lengthy treatment. She will be on at least 5 different forms of chemo, and some type of treatment will be going on until 2021, if all goes as planned. In addition to an evolving cycle of medicines at home, she receives her outpatient chemotherapy at Lurie’s in Chicago.

Norah is a spunky, amazing little warrior, fighting this battle with her mom, dad, two older sisters, Grandpa Hal and Grandma Taffy, supportive family and friends, and all of the wonderful people that make up Norah’s Army. The entire family is incredibly grateful for all the outpouring of love and support! Let’s raise as much money as possible to find treatment options and ideally a cure to this awful disease, so fewer children have to battle this nasty cancer monster!!!

Lets Rally for #SuperNorah!!

Now I can use your help and Team Norah does too!   Will you make a donation?  Or consider joining Our Team?  Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thanks in advance for your consideration towards this GREAT CAUSE!

And stop by to join in the celebration on March 30 if you're in the neighborhood!
