I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
As a 14 year cancer survivor myself, I know what cancer does to the person who has it, but also to their family, friends, loved ones. I can only imagine the pain, emotional and physical that these young children and their families go through. They are much too young to be put through their ordeals.
I figure that I have been lucky in that my chemo does not have the same side-effects that they struggle with. Because of that, I feel that my hair and beard are going to a good cause. So please help!
