Original Post:

Thanks for visiting my page! I am raising money in association with the University of Missouri med school class of 2020 for childhood cancer research in honor of my sister Lindsey. My older sister Lindsey was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 13 and after a long and incredibly brave fight, she lost her life just four days after her 25th birthday. Lindsey had a passion for teaching children. My dad used to remind Lindsey in times of sorrow of the numerous small children she had met during her treatments with cancer who had unfortunately lost their battles. He reminded her that these amazing children were not able to finish their learning and would need a teacher in heaven, too. I pray that these sentiments comforted her, and I pray that she has been able to continue her passion and fulfill her dreams with our Father. Through this fundraiser I hope I can raise money to help these children currently fighting cancer grow up to fulfill their passions, whether that be teaching or becoming an astronaut. The tiniest donation can make a world of difference.
