Hello friends, family, family of friends, and friends of family,

Recently my friend and classmate Collette was diagnosed with type ALL leukemia. She will be out of school for nine months and undergoing chemotherapy, losing her hair along the way. She has been taking classes with me and my classmates via Google Hangouts and has been doing lots of knitting. Usually the Sequoyah St. Baldrick's team is called "Team Sequoyah." But this year we're calling it "Team Collette."

Collette, this year, all of us Sequoyans who are participating are doing it for you. We're going to lose our hair alongside you, and raise money for pediatric cancer research as well as raising awareness for childhood cancer. This will be my third year participating in St. Baldrick's. It's been a really great experience for me and I've enjoyed doing it very much. I also get to finally be rid of this awful bed hair! (Look at my "before" picture.)

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
