I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

I'm shaving for my one and only, Caden. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor, medulloblastoma, on August 26, 2014 at the age of 6.  He went through a long surgery and three week hospital stay.  His surgery took place on what should have been his first day of first grade.  He then went through six weeks of radiation, 5 days a week and then a year of chemo.  He is now cancer free but not free from the effects of treatment.  He has to take thyroid medication and growth hormones, had three eye surgeries, and struggles in school.  That's why I shave-- because kids do beat cancer but feel the effects forever!!!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
