I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Someone asked me why I wanted to do this, my first answer was: Why not? Hair grows back, and a free haircut! Kidding aside. I do not have cancer. However, I have aggressive rheumatoid arthritis, and have been through so many treatments, some worked then stopped working, didn't work; and/or caused terrible other health crises. Each treatment I go through is a roller coaster of emotions, waiting to see when it stops working, and/or causes a health crisis. So I have a very small understanding of what children with cancer go through during their treatments. I want to help them in one of the few ways I am able.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
