I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Yep folks, it is that time of year again.  Many of you know I volunteer for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  In my volunteer role I talk regularly with Blood Cancer Patients and their Caregivers.  Some of them are Amazingly Brave and Strong Mothers & Fathers of Amazingly Brave and Strong kids that are in their Leukemia battles, and sadly, and So Unfairly on occasion Parents of little ones that simply ran out of time in theirs.  That the same disease, Leukemia, that took Dad from us at age 69 could be the most common form of cancer that impacts kids, and the one that takes the highest number of those little ones from us is simply for me Obscene!  The only thing more obscene is the fact that Childhood Cancer Research is so Dramatically Underfunded.  Little kids are not little adults.  Most of the treatments that work for adults, do not work on them.  That is why they need their own research, and that is why I shave my head!

I humbly ask, Please do something Absolutely and Totally Awesome today.  Help contribute to saving little one's lives.  No matter how little or how big, I promise, it will make you feel Awesome!

Thank You,

Mark
