I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Park Ridge Professional Firefighters Local 2697

12 years in a row...it's been a while.  Lots of progress has been made, but there is obviously still a long way to go!  I started shaving my head, back when I could still grow a full head of hair, because I had a great time at the fundraiser Franklin Park FD put on.  Years later, I understand why what we have been doing is so important.  It took having children of my own to even be able to imagine the horrors of a cancer diagnosis for one of them.  I've seen families that bravely fought that battle and won, but I've also seen families that couldn't beat it.  I never have the words for them.  It is for those families that I will continue to do my small part to help find a cure.  Thank you for considering a donation, any amount will help!

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
