I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Our youngest son, Gregory, was diagnosed with Juvenile Meylomonocitic Leukemia, February of 2009. His ONLY option for treatment was a bone marrow transplant. We began this grueling process and Gregory received his gift of new life, bone marrow stem cells, from a matched anonymous unrelated donor in June of 2009. He is now three years post transplant with no evidence of his original disease. This has been a very long haul and one that does not have an ending. Today Gregory is surviving thanks to yesterday's research. I shave in the hopes that tomorrows research allows children to THRIVE. My first shave was as a Class of 2011 46 Momma. I'm back again, as a Legacy Momma. I shave in honor, in memory, in defense. For the survivors, those that have died and those who have yet to be diagnosed. With ferocity.....
