I'm quite fond of my hair, but I have decided to have it all shaved off anyway. On the 13th of March I will be going bald for an important cause; I will be showing solidarity with children who have no choice but to endure childhood cancer and hopefully raising a large amount of funds for St. Baldrick's Foundation, thanks to you!
Every three minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. Cancer has touched many of our lives, but when a child is diagnosed with cancer, it seems especially unfair. Childhood cancers require different treatment to adult ones and survivors can suffer a lifetime of complications brought about by the very treatment designed to save their lives. Research in the area is extremely underfunded and St. Baldrick's, as the largest non-government provider of research grants into childhood cancer and ongoing survivorship, is desperately trying to rectify this.
If you can, please spare the three minutes it takes to watch the video to the right of this message and, if you can spare some money, please sponsor me - every single dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting, or recovering from, childhood cancers.
Thank you.
