I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi friends. As many of you know, cancer has touched my life in a direct manner with the passing of my father this March. During his time with cancer, I have found so many people afflicted with the disease that I wanted to do something to help. I am not a doctor, and I am not likly to find the cure, so I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. I know most if not all of you have been touched by cancer in some fashion. Some of you have been afflicted and know of the trial and toil that comes with the disease. For me, too many, way too many of my friends, family, and people I have not met are facing this disease. Their courage, resilience, fierce approach to life, and the lessons they teach me through their journey requires me to do something, however small, to help. I do not have much hair to be truthful, and eventually, I will probably be bald just with the passage of time. But that is not good enough. Make it happen faster, and help some cancer patients in the process! My partner, who will have the task of shaving my head is Ashley. As I write this letter, she is in surgery as part of her battle with cancer. I know she will be healed in time to take the clippers to my hair, and I am honored and excited that she agreed to help me in this effort. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
