I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mannino's for Mollie

I'm not shaving my head to donate my hair. You can't just put a wig over a lifetime of insecurities, scars, or pain. You can't just cover up the feeling of looking different, feeling different from everyone else. You don't need to have had cancer to know that. Sure, having hair could help a person struggling by making them feel more at home, but I am shaving my head for much more than that.

People ask me, why are you doing it? Why do you want to shave your head? Honestly, I don't really know. Ever since I learned about St. Baldrick's, I just felt like it was the right thing to do. I am shaving my head, not to donate my hair, but to keep children away from ever involuntarily having to lose theirs. If you want to shave your head, that should be a choice YOU get to make, not cancer’s. St. Baldrick’s Foundation saves children’s lives. It gives families hope. I am so fortunate to be a part of such a loving community.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. You can even dedicate your donation in honor of someone you love who has suffered or is still battling childhood cancer.
