My involvement with events for St Baldrick's Foundation is not new and this is actually year 18 that I have been doing an event.
During those 18 years I have participated in 28 events total and have been a volunteer in several events, have been a fundraiser for six events, have been the volunteer event organizer for 15 events and have been shaved 16 times.
Each event is special and hope that one day that these events are no longer needed. Children with cancer are some of the bravest individuals that I have had the privilege to meet or know and these children truly are heroes in the battle that they face against cancer. If you have ever seen a child fight cancer then your life be changed forever and these children truly are inspirational.
This year I am now dedicating my shave and my fundraising efforts to Kailey Jean Lawson who has touched my life in so many ways over the past seven years. She was a true warrior and fighter against cancer and sadly her life was cut short this year on July 31, 2024.
Consider making a donation so that no family has to face the loss of their child and that children are able to grow into adulthood.
St Baldrick's Foundation remains the #1 charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in their 25 years and a donation can help ensure that the next 25 years bring hope, progress and cures.
If you would prefer to donate via a check then make sure that my participant ID number 1129080 is written on the memo section of the check and check is made out to St Baldrick's Foundation.
