I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ben's Band of Baldies

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ben's Band of Baldies

A Mom's Promise: I promised my son I'd shave my head. I promised my son I would protect him from the tough things in life from the day he was born until the day he dies. I promised my son there are tough things in life, no matter how diligent and how watchful I am, I won't be able to protect him from. I promised my son I would share the joy and wonder of the world with him so those tough things wouldn't seem so bad in light of all God's greatness. BUT I am not the only mother who promises her son or daughter these things. In spite of those promises, many Moms and kids face and fight and sometimes lose and sometimes win the battle against childhood cancer. I have a chance to honor a promise and do something for the Moms that made an oath to do all they could and got handed a dose of cancer and illness and treatment. I promised my son I'd shave my head. I promised my son I would help him raise money to fight for those that are facing a tough thing. And maybe through my promise we can share some joy and wonder with each other and with those fighting for cancer. Help join our fight by donating to St. Baldricks!
