I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello all, I am participating in the St. Baldrick's fundraiser and cancer awareness event in San Francisco! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is dedicated to raising money for research in child cancer as well as raising awareness of cancer patients and the hardships they face. I decided to become involved in this event for a few reasons. When I was in elementary school, one of my classmates and friends was diagnosed with Leukemia. When she went to the hospital, we supported her through writing letters, drawing pictures, and sending our love to her. She made it through chemotherapy and when she came back to school, the principal changed the rules on wearing hats so she could wear her hat when at school. She is now a beautiful young woman who lives a full life and has completely overcome her childhood fight with leukemia. I am shaving my head to support the bravery and perseverance of all children who have cancer, and to recognize the daily hardships they face physically and socially. Please help me raise funds for research dedicated to preventing and curing child cancer. If you can't donate, participate! Find a St. Baldrick's event near you and be a shavee! Support children and support our future. Thank you.
