I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Greetings, my name is George. Hair that is on my head is to be removed, in order to raise awareness of childhood cancer and contribute resources towards research into its treatment and prevention. Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer at an average frequency of one-half of a diagnosis per minute. 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.

Only 1 in 25 grants for childhood cancer research get funded, demonstrating the great need for donations like yours and the difference that it could make. There is knowledge to be gained and there are discoveries to be made, if only resources could be directed to the right places.

As a donor, you will support the areas enumerated here:  https://www.stbaldricks.org/research-priorities

If you are, like Jeff Bezos, looking for ways "to deploy this much financial resource", or you have less resource to deploy, know that any amount is beneficial, and will end up improving the lives of real people in need.
