When I was six years old, my friend Jett died of leukemia. As far as I could tell, he never got much treatment...he didn't lose his hair, and he died shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. In MY lifetime, the survival rate for leukemia has gone from less that 20% to over 90%. Because of childhood cancer research funded by foundations like the St. Baldrick's Foundation, if Jett were diagnosed today, he would most certainly be a survivor. To help kids with cancer, last year I shaved my head with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This year I hope to help our Cook Children's Team to raise $2000...Please support me!
With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults facing childhood cancers HEAD-ON (get it?) So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids and young adults. Thank you!
