I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Rattlers

My cousin, Alexandra, passed away 3 years ago from cancer. She had been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) when she was a teenager. She had gone into remission and was able to go to prom, graduate from highschool and go off to Ohio University to major in Speech Pathology.  Then, when she was a senior at OU, she got the news that the cancer had come back and that she needed to have her leg amputated to stop it from spreading.

For Halloween, 2011, shortly after her leg was amputated, she dressed up as a pirate for the annual Halloween bash at Ohio University. Alexandra was that kind of girl - spunky and full of life.

Ultimately, the amputation was able to buy our family enough time to see her and say our goodbyes before she passed away at her home in Cleveland, OH on March 26, 2012.

Please help me honor her and the children that are fighting childhood cancer by donating to fund the life saving research that St. Baldrick's supports.

Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
