"Don't think about what can happen in a month. Don't think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be. "

I am Leo, a 13-year old boy with a passion for computer science and engineering. My motive for creating a fundraising team didn’t come from any traumatic experiences: I have never experienced cancer, nor have my family members or close friends. However, from my experience with engineering, I know that every impactful project requires an idea and an action; without action, no idea can truly make a change. Therefore, in my 6th-grade year, when I heard that Jasmine Psaris, a student in HKIS, passed away due to childhood cancer, I decided to do some research about childhood cancer. I learned that childhood cancer is different from adult cancer, from the way it spreads to how it is treated. Then I saw the statistics. Childhood cancer is vastly underfunded, with only 4% of federal government cancer research funding going to the study of pediatric cancer. So, I decided to do something about it by raising money.

Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today, and let’s #DFYChildhoodCancer together!
