I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

For years now, I’ve watched my dad shave his head for St. Baldrick’s. Patting and petting his bald head after his past five shaves has brought me so much joy. And now I’ll have my own head to pet and pat. Yes, you read that right. Me, with my hair down past my waist. Apples don’t fall off orange trees, so I will be joining my father and thousands of other brave men and women working to find a cure for childhood cancers. So why am I doing this? Because every three minutes, a parent is told “Your child has cancer.” And national funding for CHILDHOOD cancer research is only 4% of the national budget for cancer research. And children are the future. And the fires of the minds of the young should not be put out because of cancer. Which is why I need YOU. I need you to help. I will do the going bald part, if you do the donating part. Because researching cures for these kids is expensive. And when you donate, you help save kids with cancer. BUT THERE’S MORE!! Not only will you help these kids, but you see me bald! I’ll even let you pat and pet my bald head. So help me out here… DONATE. Donate because you want to see me bald, or because you want to support my efforts at doing something crazy, or to honor someone in your life who fought/is fighting cancer, or because you are thankful of the health of your own children (cough cough mom and dad). Or donate because why not. So I’ll be there on March 21, 2015, ready to go bald. Will YOU support me?

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
