I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Vinny

Cancer, the dreaded "C" word. It has become such an epidemic in our society that people are loath to even mention its name. Cancer is a disease that can affect anybody and a great many different parts of the body. Some of these diseases are more serious than others, but regardless of the form cancer takes, it is always more devastating when it attacks the most defenseless of us....our children. It is not only the disease that is painful, but the many ways of treating it as well. Every day children across the country lay in hospital cancer wards fighting for their very lives. Thanks to organizations such as St. Baldrick's these children "soldiers" are given an even greater chance to win their fight. I am asking every person that reads this in central NC to come out to Kernersville and show your support for all the world's children who are fighting this dreaded disease. The event is in honor of a dear friends 6 year old Vinny DiGerolamo. The family recently learned that Vinny had relapsed w/ Rhabdo in the lungs... malignancy is never good... there is no cure. Prognosis is very very poor... and Vinny may have 6 months left, so I am trying to make this a great event for him and his family....So please go to the site and join in on the event or if you know of others in the area that would be willing to liberate themselves from their hair let them know about this event.
