I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

Because we've all been touched by cancer. While for many "touched" doesn't come close to describing the way it has changed their lives, everyone knows what this means, and this understanding binds us together.

Because many were there for us, and now it is our turn to be there for others.

Because every shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer. And ripples combine into waves.

Because I simply need to be a part of this wave. If you know me, you know why: My father, David, was a man who couldn't be bothered to pose for a serious picture, but who, even when things were at their worst, summoned the strength to smile through the pain for anyone so kind as to visit. And many did. That's who he was.

Because I am older now than he ever got to be.

Because the kindest man in New York City is fighting, and I'm honored to call him my friend.

So, please help me to honor these men and most importantly to give these kids and their families hope, all while supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
