Once again, I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.
I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids and young adults.
For the past three years, I have shaved at St. Joseph's Church in Ronkonkoma. Unfortunately, due to COVID, there will not be an event this year at St. Joseph's. I did not want to let COVID get in the way of what has become an annual event for me. I reached out to Gloria, my hair cutter, and asked if she would be willing to shave my head. She has volunteered her time to shave me on Wednesday, March 17th at 4:30 p.m. at Hair Creations in Ronkonkoma. If anyone, wants to do a solo shave, please contact Melissa at Hair Creations. Melissa and several other stylists are volunteering to shave anyone wishing to participate. The salon will schedule individual shaving sessions and will follow all current regulations and protocols relating to COVID.
Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Every donation, small or large, will make a difference. I thank you in advance for your support during this difficult time in our world. A big thank you to Gloria, Melissa, and everyone at Hair Creations for making my shave possible this year. Hopefully, things will return to the way they were in 2022.
SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED ALREADY!
